Please meet our new teacher, Miss Erica!

Erica has joined World of Enrichment to teach our Cooking with Kids classes.  Our Cooking with Kids class is a nationally recognized hands-on food and nutrition education program.

Miss Erica is so so excited to be a part of spreading the love for exploring cooking and culture and helping to train our budding foodies at World of Enrichment. As you get to know her, you’ll learn that she possesses a genuine passion for working with children.  She says, “One of my greatest joys in life is working with children.  To me, there’s nothing more amazing that seeing a child’s eyes light up when he or she learns something new.  I believe that a child’s unbridled enthusiasm and joy in making new discoveries about the world should be encouraged which is why I chose to pursue a career in the field of education.”

Through a journey around the world with food, Miss Erica guides her students to learn as much as they can about the world around them, inside the classroom and out. She feels that it is essential that a classroom be buzzing with creativity so that the children might see and be inspired by the work of their peers, while observing and discovering food.
As a lifelong resident of our area, Miss Erica loves to read, bike, write and act!  She is a graduate of Governors State University with a BA in Elementary Education.  Because of her passion for education, she volunteers her time writing plays, putting together a school library and teaching children in schools and churches.  Miss Erica’s favorite pet is her Yorkie named Zoey!
Erica’s welcoming personality, passion for teaching and love of cooking adventures make her a great addition to our amazing teaching staff at World of Enrichment!
